I'm scared of growing up | Thought Bubble
Hey Guys
I have always liked Peter Pan. The boy in green always excited me and as a child (and still sometimes now) I left my window open, hoping that Peter and Tinkerbelle would fly in and take me to Neverland.
But recently I have been thinking if there is a deeper meaning of why I am so infatuated with this character.
I am about to start year 11 - GCSE year. Honestly, I still feel like I am twelve and I don't feel ready to take my exams. Year 11 will be the most stressful and important year of my life so far and I am scared. I am scared of taking my GCSEs, scared of leaving my school and my friends and scared of growing up.
Maybe this is why I have always loved Peter Pan...
I don't know what I want to do with my life. Now, some people say that it is okay and that I don't have to decide yet, but in a way, I do. In just a couple of months, I will have to start thinking about what college I want to go to and what A-levels I am going to take. That is scary.
Throughout my whole life I have been told what to do. I have been told what school to go to, what lessons to have and what information to learn. Now I have to take matters into my own hands and make a decision for myself. But what will that be? I have been thinking of doing a psychology A-level but what else? I don't know.
I wish Peter Pan would come and take me to Neverland. Away from decisions and growing up.

PS: This is a Thought Bubble. Basically, I want to start doing more blogs where I just type what I have been thinking. This is that. :-)
